Equality 7-2521 is a diverse character who shows how suppression of human nature can lead to chaos. Anthem showcases the fight with oneself to discover new things against the will established in you by those who reared you. It also shows that people may change from the way they were, yet, always falls back into the comfort of their youth in one way or another. Uniformity; where citizens of a country/state/land/etc. can form to one ideal, (i.e. “You are all One”) and Theocracy; a society ruled by a certain doctrine/religious ideals, are highly present within the novella, Anthem.
Equality 7-2521 lives in a dystopian society that is set in an unknown land/country. Throughout the book, he talks about his youth and the pressures put against him
