In this short paper I’ll be “summarizing” the article SIG Sauer P290, American Gunsmith, October 2015, by Chick Blood. I’ll start by saying that summarizing an article based around the disassembly and assembly of a pistol seems a bit impossible without just quoting directly from the article…so I’ll rattle off my thoughts and ideas about the weapon itself, and some things stated in the article.

I suppose I’ll start by stating my opinion of the Sig P290. I’ve had a significant bit of trigger time on one of them (a buddy of mine owns one). I’d have to say I believe it fills defensive pistol niche pretty well. The P290 is small enough in overall size and weight to be comfortably carried daily. The shape is a little blocky, but it’s not bad enough
