The objective of this photo is to recall my childhood memories of building forts using bed sheets, and couch cushions. As a child, I remember joyfully watching movies with my beloved Elmo toy in the forts I constructed. I also played with dolls, coloured in books, and played games in this setting. Likewise, I remember forts making me feel safe from the dangers in our world and they provided me with a sense of independence as a result of my ability to build them without assistance. In this photo, the bright red Elmo toy contrasts with many of its duller surroundings to help it standout. I intentionally placed my center of interest at an intersection and along the bottom of the imaginary grid to create a focal point. I also used the lines created
