The Unification of China China was ultimately united as a country after the Qin Empire defeated the last of its enemies and took over China. The king of the Qin then assumed command of China but, was unhappy with the name king feeling it was not grand enough so he invented the title of emperor. After the Qin took control they ordered nobles to abandon their land and move to the capital and give up their right to process arms so that there was no possibility of a mutiny. The emperor and his officials changed a lot of things about China some were detrimental but, some were positive and help China stay united; by established a uniform Chinese script with no regional difference and the standardized weights, measures, coinage and even axle length
