Do you think Chris McCandless was a hero or a fool? In my opinion I thought he was a fool and took no responsibility for his actions. It was really stupid of him to leave his friends and family. I believe he was foolish because of the dumb decisions he made during his journey, not because he decided to go on this journey.

“There was just no talking the guy out of it,” Gallien remembers. Chris had his mind set on going on his journey and didn’t want to take anyones advice or help. He could of at least considered their advice instead of going out there unprepared! It would be one thing to listen and make mistakes than to not listen and be a jerk. “Find himself”. He wasn’t even prepared to live long enough to “find himself”.
