“Into the Wild” is a nonfiction book that revolves around the life of Chris McCandless, an intelligent, young man who believed life was best lived alone in nature, and was found dead after spending two years in Alaska trying to prove this theory. The book portrayed the story with two interconnected plots, one of which is the action of the story and the other being the psychological development of Chris McCandless. We, as an audience, try to understand his motives for venturing out into the wild and leaving behind his old life. As we learn about him, his actions reflect the arrogant fool he is.
