I was used to misplacing my belongings and not caring to look for them. One time I lost a cabbage patch doll that I loved so much and so
I expected them to buy me a similar one but I was told that I will never own another cabbage patch doll again. This gave me the awareness to go looking for my doll. This was the positive punishment. When they first got my cabbage patch, they bought me a new dress for the doll. This was negative reinforcement. Punishment by presenting an aversive consequence after an appropriate behavior is exhibited, making it less likely to reoccur is positive punishment. While negative punishment occurs when a particular reinforcing stimulus is detached after disagreeable behavior is exhibited.
