James town is a colony in North Virginia that almost failed. It is located where the Jamestown River is. It was founded in 1607. I think the colony almost died is because they weren't friendly with the Indians. My second reasonJamestown almost died because the Indians tried to attack Jamestown. My last opinion is that they didn't have enough food. So many colonist almost died because of Fighting. Jamestown thought it was ok to be cruel and take all the Indians food and to not give it back.
