During Lewis and Clark Great Journey West they faced a lot of challenges. Some of the challenges had to do with the river, the animals they encountered ,and weather. Another challenge for Sacajawea was that she also had to carry a baby with her threw all of it. Some challenges they had that involved the river were when they had to trudge through the water, when pulling the boats they broke a lot of their toes in the sand. Another one was them having to go down really narrow rivers . They also had the challenge of the waterfall ,so since they couldn't go over the waterfall because they were going upstream, they had to walk 17 miles around the waterfall carrying only the essentials. Another one of these challenges was the insects and animals.
