Day of the Dead and Halloween are more similar than different. The decorations the costumes and the treats make the two holidays more similar than different. Day of the Dead is celebrated to have the mexicans remember their dead ancestors and to remember that death is not a bad thing. Halloween is celebrated because it is when the Christians had a feast and the candy is the food.

Day of the Dead and Halloween are more similar than different because of the decorations. Day of the Dead there is calacas for decorations and here is also calavera for the decorations which are similar to the decorations on halloween. On Halloween there is also decorations like calavera and calacas because they wanted it to be scary and other spooky because on Halloween samhain assembles who had died in the previous years and allows the evil spirits to return to home to visit the living. But la calacas are not suppose to be scary they just represent their dead ancestors.

Day of the Dead has treats like pan de muerto and mole that are eaten on Day of the Dead. On Halloween people give out candy to people because the candy represents the Christian feast and the candy is the food in the feast because the Christians had a feast on
