Although the movie and the play form of A Christmas Carol are similar, there are some major differences as well. Scrooge, for example, is different in the movie then in the play. Here are some examples that show how Scrooge is different between both forms of the story. First, when the Spirit of Christmas Past visits Scrooge in the movie and the play, it is almost as if he is two entirely different characters. In the movie, Scrooge is full of sadness and regret when he visits his past. He is different in the play, because he just seems to be angry with himself for what he has done.
