In this day and time the responsibility of teachers is very high as they hold the future of the world in their hands. Children are our future and the knowledge they receive is pertinent to success. They’re the blueprint to children’s educators, counselors, and somewhat life coaches. I am going to compare teaching styles of two teachers I had my best experience with while studying business management at Central Texas College. Angela Reese, very meticulous all while having fun at the same time, and Mr. Drake one of the best financial teachers at CTC.
When I first started back going to college I was terrified because by then all I knew was shoot, move, communicate, army style. I didn’t know if I’d fit in right away or ever for that matter. Now Mrs. Reese and Mr. Drake had two very different forms of teaching and I learned a significant number of things from them both. Between the two of them, Mrs. Reese really gave my creativity the nourishment it needed to flourish. She didn’t follow the books, she was very off script, and she challenged me.

Drake often took to the everyday out of the book approach for everything that we did, he was very systematized. Before class, he’d always pass out the printed PowerPoint from which he’d be teaching class from that day. I never spoke because after witnessing a few people raise their hands only to be ignore, I decided to just follow the lesson. He always gave the answer instead of challenging us to learn the material. Some of his strong points were things like videos and movies relevant to what the weekly Leeson was. This kept my attention and made learning is his class unique, and let’s be honest, who doesn’t like
