Small set out to achieve their goal of the “American Dream”, while they believe they can achieve it, but luck isn't on their side. John steinbeck in his book shows that women get mistreated by not adding Curley's wife's name and also including very hateful comments towards women across the U.S during this time.
I n the story the protagonists see a women at their new job. The men assume some things just about women in general, but my question is Why under estimate women just because of their gender? My thinking is that they said these things maybe just to feel better

The women doesn't even have a name to begin with.
A s I stated in the last paragraph, the women isn't much of character and she isn't around very much. This is a nice segway to lead me to my next point, She is very much hated by the men at the job. She is not only hated just because she’s a woman, she is also hated because she is also the wife of the bosses son. All the men dislike the boss's son (Curley). They don't like him because he is always looking for a fight, also he is bossing everyone around but little does he know, his wife is also trying to hook up with other men. This is another reason why I think the men talk behind her back.
A s if I hadn't said it enough, the men really think of women as they were nothing. The men see them as superior to the women. The guys really show their hatred towards curley’s wife or just women in general. The comments that the guys made were directed at curley’s wife, “Bet she’d clear out for $20”, “Jesus what a tramp”, “Cause she’s a rat-trap if I ever seen one”. These are some of the few comments that she received.
I believe that women are the same as men and should be treated that way, because at the end of the day we are all just
