Today I’ll be telling you about 3 different Cinderella stories and 1 Cinderella poem. The first story is “Ashenputtel” which occurred around 100 years ago in Germany. Then we’ll talk about “Yeh-Shen” which occurred around 1,000 years ago in China. After that we’ll talk about “The Algonquin Cinderella” which occurred around 100 years ago in a Native American tribe. The last thing we’ll talk about is the poem that was wrote in the modern age.

All righty let’s get the ball rolling with “Ashenputtel” and “Yeh-Shen”. In “Ashenputtel” there was 2 stepsisters that treated her horridly as the same in “Yeh-Shen”. In both stories there were magical items but, in “Ashenputtel” the magic item was a tree and in “Yeh-Shen” the magical item was her fish’s bones. In both stories there was a Prince Charming and the Prince Charming character always fell for the Cinderella character in the end.

All the Cinderella characters have different names but, they’re always treated the same. The stories have different characters but, always have the sisters and Stepmother in the story, not to mention the Prince Charming who she marries in the end. None of the endings are the same, evens the endings are different. In “Ashenputtel” the Stepsister’s eyes are pecked out and in “Yeh-Shen” the sister and stepmother are squashed by boulders, finally in “The Algonquin Cinderella” the sisters are transformed into trees, how crazy is
