Being inspired with something encourages humans to find a new pathway. This path leads to creativity. There are many lateral-thinking tools that lead to a creativity path such as conformity and creativity.

There are several benefits to conformity. First, conformity lends to collaboration. Second, it aids in learning. Third, it forms culture. Fourth, it saves energy. When we’re conforming we’re in our comfort zone, so we save energy. We all have internal tension between conformity and creativity. Those who are less likely to conform are more sensitive so they are more likely to develop new solutions. …show more content…

Then Homo-erectus appeared with a brain size that was 75% of modern human brains and they developed the hand axe. 150,000 years ago, Homo sapiens appeared, they’re the modern human. Creativity continued to expand with the appearance of Homo sapiens. It helped early humans to survive in hostile environments. As our brains got larger we were able to generate more complex products. Creativity is associated with mental flexibility. We needed the right attitude and here we can look at play. The attitude to be able to suspend judgement.
Humans were born to be creative however, many say, “I’m not creative” and there are reasons why people say that. First, people mix up between two different kinds of creativity, special talent and self-actualized creativity which creativity in daily life. Second, we lose our imagination over time as we grow from children to adults however, we can relearn it. We can turn to people like Edward de Bono.
