Curley’s wife is a lonely and trustworthy drama queen who is unhappy. For example, when Curley’s wife came into Crooks place it says “They swung their heads toward the door. Looking in was Curley’s wife”(Steinbeck 77). When she walked in Crooks place she asked Crooks, Lennie, and Candy where her husband was. It was an excuse to talk to them because she was lonely. As always the people who talked to her seemed frustrated when she talked to them. However, Curly’s wife likes talking to them because she usually doesn’t talk to anyone else. This is because her husband makes her feels lonely. For instance, Curley’s wife is caring towards Lennie. It is proved by when the book stated: “If I’d went, I wouldn’t be livin’ like this, you bet”(Steinbeck 88). Curley’s wife exposed her feelings about her life when she made these certain choices in her life. This shows she is trustworthy towards Lennie because if she didn’t trust him she wouldn’t be sharing her problems about her life with him. When Curley’s wife gets in a conversation or expresses her feelings to someone it is always the same way filled with drama.
