The debate on whether or not the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program will be repealed or not has US residents on the edge of their seats. DACA is a program that allows children who have arrived to the united states at a young age to be able to have a life here without becoming US citizens.These children were brought here without any consent and can’t be blamed for their parents’ actions. DACA is an incredible opportunity for young people and would be a shame to loose a program like that, especially in this age and time. It is also understandable why American citizens might want this to be repealed as well.

Protestors are declaring that the economy would deteriorate without these residents, because they are the one’s who contribute the most in the workforce and by deporting them businesses would decline at an all time high speed. On the other hand American Citizens who disagree with the program also have the right to fight for what they belive in as well. Their mindset is in a place where they don’t understand why people are being rewarded for not following the law. Many of the people for the DACA program don’t even try to become citizens, because DACA allows them to vote, go to school, have jobs and live in America without becoming citizens. There is no reason for them to apply for citizenship when they don’t have to , because they are cutting corners and having opportunities handed to them for
