Dan Marino the Miami Dolphins quarterback in 1983 had an outstanding career with 61,361 passing yards.He won the rookie of the year award in 1983! He was one of the best quarterbacks to ever play for the Miami Dolphins ever and one of the best in all of time! Dan broke 12 records in his whole football career and broke 3 in his first year of playing professional football.
According to Fact Cite, Dan was born in Pittsburgh PA on September 15 1961. He attended the high school Central Catholic. Then after he finished high school he went to the University of Pittsburgh.As stated on Notednames.com Dan went straight from college to the NFL draft and he got drafted by the Miami Dolphins. Dan wanted to do that because he can throw very far and is accurate and they have good receivers that can catch the ball.Their receivers are mark clayton and many more.Mark Clayton was their best receiver he had a nickname and it was Super Duper, because he could run down the field very fast and catch the ball and out run the cornerback covering him. Dan Shula wanted to do a running offence because they have great running backs and Dan can run very well at quarterback. Dan and his coach figured out they would just do a running and passing offence. Dan was worried about all of the concussions happening in the NFL, so he sued the NFL because there were so many concussions throughout the season.
