The purpose of this research paper is to investigate the relationship between two variables, divorced households and juvenile crime. The independent variable being divorced households and the dependent variable being juvenile crime.
In most states, a person below the age of 18 is considered a juvenile. When juveniles in this age range commit crimes, they are termed juvenile delinquents. For instance, criminal acts delinquents perform entail selling drugs, larceny, murder and any other unlawful action towards property or people. Unfortunately, as these juveniles continue to engage in violent behavior, they become a risk to society and plunge deeper in criminal activity (CrimeSolutions.gov, n.d.).
