The Declaration of Independence and the French Declarations of Rights of Man and Citizen are documents that are a very similar for they both emphasize on the same topic of freedom and equality. But the difference in these two documents would have to be on the grounds of why they were formed. The Declaration of Independence was written to gain independence from the British. The U.S. was simply trying to make a point that they’ve been oppressed long enough and that it was time for justice and liberty. The French Declaration on the other hand was only enforcing and documenting the natural rights that each citizen had.
