In the Nevada Constitution three processes of direct democracy comes into play: initiative, referendum, and recall. The federal constitution and the original Nevada constitution did not offer any of these provisions. Early of the twentieth century, amendments to the Nevada constitution incorporated these direct democracy processes into play. “Referendum, recall, and especially the ballot initiative give Nevadans a direct influence in government and law by allowing them to completely bypass the legislative and executive branches” (NVConsitution).
