The Articles of Confederation were weak before we came up with the constitution. After the outbreak of the Revolutionary War, the thirteen American colonies needed a government that could take the place of the British they were trying to overthrow. In this essay i am going to be talking about weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation. I will be addressing three weaknesses. It had many flaws which got improved over the years, but created many problems.
One of them is that they did not have a single form of currency. This meant that they could print their own money. This was working well until other states started printing money also. This was making trade within the states very unproductive, and difficult.
