Have you ever met anyone that you feel is the complete opposite?We call this a character foil in literature. In Much Ado About Nothing written by William Shakespeare there are many character foils. One of these happens to be the brothers Don John and Don Pedro. In the play Don Pedro is attempting to connect loves meanwhile his brother is trying to make sure that it doesn't happen. In Much Ado the character foil of the brothers influences the play because they continue to add interest and turn against each other and this is how the conflict is created.

Don John influences the story with his ruthless, juvenile, and mischievous personality when he ruins the plans of his brother, Don Pedro who was attempting to connect Hero and Claudio in love.
