Through the emotionally charging autobiography “Night” by Elie Weisel we get to partially encounter the conflict that Eliezer(Elie) had from his peregrination of being a holocaust survivor. Throughout the tragedy we understand that Eliezer(Elie) is being deported to a concentration camp known as Auschwitz where he is faced with forced work labor and both physical and emotional pain. In this we soon learn the issue that Eliezer(Elie) loses his faith due to the circumstances his experiences from being in the concentration camp known as Auschwitz. Elie Wiesel illustrates the issue that Eliezer(Elie) is losing his faith due to his journey through many years of captivity and the harsh factors of a concentration camp.

How do You compare to this stricken mass gathered to affirm to You their faith, their anger, their defiance?” This quote from the novel means that Eliezer was angry that the other inmates were worshiping when he believed that God should be accused and he is the one responsible for the Jews being in camps.
In conclusion, the path that Eliezer(Elie) was put through and the torture that he experiences contributed to the reasons of his lost faith. Even though Eliezer(Elie) was with his father he and his father began to lose their faith years before being able to leave.
