In 1959, 14 year old Priscilla Beaulieu and 24 year old Elvis Presley met at a house party, beginning their 13 year relationship. Priscilla and Elvis met at very busy times in their lives. Elvis was growing his music career and Priscilla was starting high school. Balancing school, careers, and a long distance relationship became very difficult for the young couple, leading to regretful decisions that resulted in countless consequences.Priscilla and Elvis Presley made many bad choices that have affected Priscilla’s control over her own life, Elvis’s mental and physical health, and their overall lives. Although it seemed like a good idea at the time, she was promising to marry the first man she had experienced a romantic relationship with. After this relocation, Priscilla’s entire character was changed. Piccotti and Kettler from Biography wrote, “Before graduating in May 1963, she took pills that Elvis provided so she could go to classes during the day while being available for him at other times. Elvis also continued to remake Priscilla, who later described herself as “Elvis’ living doll, to fashion as he pleased.” He had porcelain caps placed on her teeth and demanded she improve her posture. He was also molding her into his own image”. Elvis changed Priscilla entirely to create exactly what he wanted. In the process of this, he also put her on drugs and exposed her to a variety of inappropriate environments and situations. Elvis also did seductive photoshoots with her, but denied a sexual relationship until marriage to keep her innocent as he pleased. Priscilla chose who she wanted to spend her life with at an extremely young age, generating many negative influences in her
