There are advocates for change in the healthcare industry approach to the relationship between environmental factors and healing; these advancements are represented by both patients and healthcare organizations. Planetree is an example of a patient initiated advocacy; this organization was developed after an undesirable experience occurred in a healthcare setting (2016, Kreitzer). Then, there is the Center for Health Design (CHD), a research organization, in support of transforming the design of healthcare facilities to promote a culture of healing while optimizing to patient outcomes (2016, Kreitzer). My personal patient-centered design would be one that creates a serene environment from start to finish; promoting authentic personalized and patient focused environment. I chose to focus on a pediatric health clinic ranging from ages one through twelve. This experience will begin at the setup of the appointment; my staff will retrieve specific data from the caregiver about the child's preferences. The caregiver will have the option to answer the preliminary questions in three different manners: 1- via telephone person to person, 2- via telephonic recording and 3- via computer website. These options are given to respect the caregiver's time, preference of modularity and empower them from the beginning. This information will be inputted into a database which will summarize and categorize the client's preferences and match them with a clinical ambassador, as well as, retrieving admission information. All activities will be age appropriate for safety reasons and the clinical ambassador will be a nurse crossed trained in therapeutic activities and certified in holistic healing; there will be different
