In Charles Dickens' , A Christmas Carol, Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by three spirits. The ghost of Christmas past,present, and future. When Scrooge is with the ghost of Christmas future, the ghost takes him to his own gravestone. Scrooge then proceeds on to say"Men's courses will foreshadow certain ends, to which, if preserved in, they must lead. But if courses be departed from, the ends will change. Say it is thus with what you show me." I believe after scrooge said this quote that he is going to try to live up to it.

What I think Scrooge's quote meant is that what ever way of life a person chooses to go down will decide how their life is going to turn out. That is, unless that person can change the path they are going on in life. If they can

When Scrooge makes it to Bob's home, Bob opens the door and is ,of course, flabbergasted to see Scrooge. He invites scrooge into his home and Scrooge then proceeds to give Christmas presents to everybody with a huge smile on his face. Scrooge then gives Bob's wife the huge goose and Mrs. Cratchit is flabbergasted at the size of it. Mrs. Cratchit then starts cooking the goose while Scrooge sits in the Crachit's living room in a rocking chair with tiny Tim and his two siblings. Finally,Scrooge is once and for all truly happy for his greediness is gone.

I believe Mr.Scrooge followed his on quote and became a changed man. I believe this because when he returned from his journey with the ghosts of Christmas past,present, and future he started being kind and thoughtful. He brought presents and a big goose to Bob's house, he let the little boy keep his change and complimented him, and all in all he now has a huge smile on his face. This is why I believe Scrooge followed his on quote and changed the way his life was going to end
