The Issue of Censorship Bradbury talks about personal freedom for having the right of an individual to having the freedom of expression when he mentions the issue of censorship in Fahrenheit 451. The role of firefighters in Fahrenheit 451 is entirely different from our society. Firefighters are the enforcers of the censorship laws. Which we have the right to read whatever we want, also to listen to whatever music we want, but there are still constrains. There cannot be overdone language on network television. Our world is one of the world's we would never want to live because of its harmful content. The extremes of the book in censorship in Bradbury's novel created a negative ambiance. The characters in Fahrenheit 451 they never seem to be always happy. Possibly some of the books fill a void in people's lives, which make them more comfortable. If this were the reality, in our world there would be no homes to live in or any happiness. Books have become more of an essential part of American life. However, the theme of censorship is still relevant in American life. In the way that censorship expresses itself in Fahrenheit 451 is through the process of their laws banning and jobs into burning of books. The main character, who is Guy Montag, is known as a fireman whose job it is to burn books of people who have collected these banned books. Montag authorities and the list of millions of banned books refer as it is hung at the firehouse where he works, implying to him that very few books are allowed at all.
