1. CHEAP AIRFARE! Frontier Airlines ran a special that included $30 roundtrip flights from several of their major cities. Dallas just so happened to be one of those cities so I jumped at the opportunity to see where we could fly to. Our choices were Cincinatti and Denver. As you can guess, we chose Denver. The catch with these flights were, they were only valid on Tuesdays and Wednesdays which meant you could either spend a week or 24 hours in the city you selected. We chose 24 hours. When booking, you have to pay attention and be careful because if you start adding on different things, you will end up paying more for perks than your actual ticket. We didn't select our own seats nor did we take a carry on back or checked bag. Frontier gives you one FREE personal item so we opted for backpacks that could fit underneath our seats considering we would only be gone for 24 hours.

2. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION! The Regional Transportation District (RTD) has SkyRide buses that leave Denver International Airport every 15 minutes. We knew we wanted to go downtown and the airport about 45mins away which could get pricey with a taxi, shuttle or even Uber and Lyft. The cost for the bus? $11 one way.

EARLY BIRD SPECIALS! We arrived before 8am so hungry was an understatement. By the time we decided on food, I was to the point of HANGRY! I was yelling and being grumpy. Thank God my friends are my friends and they completely overlooked my temporary emotion. For breakfast we let Darras pick our stop and we ended up at Sam's No. 3 Diner. If you're a fan of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives you've seen Sam's No. 3. They have been pumping out large portions of delicious diner food since 1927. From 5:30am-10:00am they offer early bird specials ranging in price from $4-$9. I opted for the Huevos Rancheros special with water to drink. My tab?
