Generalized Anxiety Disorder
Whoopi Goldberg, Leann Rimes, Abraham Lincoln, and Donny Osmond; Do any of these names sound familiar to you? Well if they do you know at least one person who was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Generalized Anxiety Disorder, also known as GAD, is a psychological disorder which makes a person feel overly stressed or anxious about different aspects of life. These aspects can include work, social relationships, and financial situations/problems. Google defines it as "extreme worrying almost every day for six months or more may signal generalized anxiety disorder." Generalized Anxiety Disorder was first discovered/diagnosed in 1980 by the American Psychiatric Association.
