In the short story, “Geraldo No Last Name,” Sandra Cisneros tells a story of an immigrant with no identification and undocumented, “no address. No name. Nothing in his pockets”(57). The short story is about a woman named Marin who meets Geraldo at a dance party; she is the last person to see him alive before the accident happened to him, before the hit and run incident. The connection between the story of undocumented immigrants is also explored in art in the form of sculpture by Valerie James and her fellow artist Antonia Gallegos, specifically in a sculpture called “Las Madres”, and it is featured in the article written by Sameen Amin and Lori Gliha.
