Grey Owl’s achievements and intentions were justified due to the preservation of an impeccable wilderness and the development of a strong native identity in Canada. Even though he lied about his identity, he has done more good than harm. Grey owl did not determine the culture he was born in, so when he was old enough, he took matters into his own hands and started seeking for who he truly is. Grey owl deceived his identity due to the concern of vanishing of the Canadian wilderness, his strive to ensure rights of the aboriginal and his fantasy of becoming a part of the aboriginal community.
