“I’m gonna miss you Rose.”
“Huh?”
“We’re about halfway through the summer aren’t we? It’s gonna be hard not being able to see you everyday.” Rosemary rolls on her side and pulls a corner of the sleeping bag over her mouth.
“Y-yeah I guess you’re right.” She murmurs. It was silent for a few moments before the silence was broken by the sound of faint quiet whimpers. Beau turns his head towards Rosemary.
“Are you crying?” Rosemary pulls the sleeping bag to further cover her face. Beau rolls on his side and props himself up on his elbow.
“Hey come on now Rosey, I didn’t mean to make you cry. Hey look at me sweetie.” Rosemary curls up into a tighter ball. Trying to hide it Rosemary responds
“I-I’m not crying.”
Beau lets out a small chuckle “I know you better than that Rosemary, come on look at me.” Beau puts his hand on Rosemary’s shoulder, but Rosemary pulls away.

“Rosey if you don’t look at me I’ll have to tickle you.”
“No.”
“That’s it, here I come!” Beau starts tickling her sides.
“Ahahaha stop it! stop it!”
“Will you look at me?”
Struggling to speak over her laughter Rosemary attempts to respond. “N-never, but I will retaliate!”
“Oh yeah? why don’t you try it then?” Rosemary flips around and starts vigorously tickling back.
“Ahahahahahaha S-stop it you know I’m more ticklish than you!”
“Yeah how does it feel tough guy?!” The two roll around in the giant sleeping bag they zipped together from the two they brought until eventually Beau pins Rosemary under him.
“There it is.”
“W-what?” Rosemary’s face begins to blush, her eyes still wet from tears. Beau smiles, “That beautiful face of yours.” there’s another short pause.
“I don’t want you to leave me!” Rosemary looks away.
