This is something to dye for. In this paper, it will be discussed about the dangers of hair dye. It can increase the risk of cancer. There is also rumors that you can not dye your hair while you are pregnant.
Hair dye can be fun to mess with when you like to change your hair a lot. Most people get bored of their current hair color and always switch things up more than they probably should. This can be a problem considering the dangers of hair dye.
The first thing to know about hair dye is it can cause cancer. All colors can give you an increased risk for cancer but people that use darker colors such as black or brown and even red have an even higher risk than lighter colors. The agencies say that they do test but that is not the truth. This …show more content…
It is said that people exposed to hair dye at work have an increased risk of bladder cancer. Researchers also looked into blood related cancers. Some say that if they use them before 1980 or use darker colors, they have an increased risk for lymphoma. These same results have been seen in leukemia.
Hair dye can also be dangerous to pregnant women. It is said that pregnant women should not use hair dye at all during their pregnancy. Some say it could cause problems with the baby and could be linked to physical birth defects. Others say you can dye your hair after the first three months so you are clear of toxic compounds. There is no proof of what is actually true. So to be safe it is said to use semi-permanent dyes or natural coloring agents that is shampooed into the scalp without having to strip the hair. This is safer for women who are pregnant.
Some doctors recommend stopping while others say it is okay to keep doing it. Others say to not do it at all during the first trimester but it is okay later on in the pregnancy. Very few studies looked into the effects of hair dyes and the hair chemicals in pregnant women. There is a chance that the harsh chemicals may absorb through your scalp and passed along to your baby.
