1.Increase awareness of the ways illnesses are spread in the child care setting and how to reduce this spread.
2. Encourage providers to accept responsibility for preventing the spread of disease in their child care setting.
3. Assist providers in establishing, developing and promoting written policies regarding health and safety in their child care setting.
4. Help providers to understand and follow universal precautions and other preventive health practices.
5. Provide materials that can be used as resources for child care providers as well as parents. 6. Connect child care providers with local health and safety resources.

Children's Services to recognise its common law duties to safeguard the confidentiality of all personal information.
Wherever disclosure of confidential information to another person or organisation is being considered, a check will always be made to ensure that such disclosure is lawful.

It increases awareness of illnesses spreading and how to reduce them. It makes sure that providers know how to provide safe and clean care. Also to make sure that the work place is safe for children and workers.

Data protection act exist to strike a balance between the rights of individuals to privacy and the ability of organizations to use data for the purposes of their business. The purpose of data protection legislation Is to make sure that the personal data is not processed without the knowledge of that individual. 2

Disability Discrimination
Act 1995

The disability act modified the Education
Act by protecting students with disabilities against unfair treatment.
Schools are required to prepare to teach persons with disabilities. Primary Schools are expected to report the progress of disabled pupils at the end of every year.
The Disability Discrimination Act also contains new standards for schools of higher education.

Disability Discrimination Act 1995 protects people with a disability from discrimination and harassment. 2/16/15

Describe the terms and conditions of own contract of employment

Sources of information:

Describe what should be in a contract of employment , looking at your own employment contract
A contract of employment is a legal document between an employer and the employee. It sets out the terms and conditions of employment. Under employment law, an employee should be given a written statement of the terms and conditions of employment within two months of starting work with you.
A contract must include at least:
• the business’s name
• the employee’s name, job title or a description of work and start date
• how much and how often an employee will get paid
• hours of work
• holiday entitlement (and if that includes public holidays)
• where an employee will be working
As well as the principal statement, a written statement must also contain information about:
• how long a temporary job is expected to last
• the end date of a fixed-term contract
• notice periods
• collective agreements
• pensions
• who to go to with a grievance
• how to complain about how a grievance is handled
• how to complain about a disciplinary or dismissal decision
