A 12-year-old Palestinian male child who sustained a severe penetrating head injury from a rubber bullet -a metallic bullet covered with thin rubber- arrived to the emergency-department in a coma with Glasgow-coma-scale (GCS): 6/15.1 Examination on arrival revealed left hemiplegia and anisocoria (Right > Left).
The bullet entered “Entry-site” from the right fronto-temporal region (Panel A) and settled “Lodging-site” in the right parito-occipital region (Panel B and C). The outer rubber part of the bullet can be seen adhered to the bone at the entry site with multiple bony fragments around it (Panel A, arrow).2 Additionally, the inner metallic part of the bullet can be seen settled at the lodging site (Panel B and C).2
Patient underwent immediate
