Hero Journey Essay Hero:a person, who is admire or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. Odysseus, the king of Ithaca, went to fight the Trojan war which lasted 10 years, and his journey home took an additional 10 years due to the adversities he faced. He was able to return alive with help of the Olympians , mainly Athena, to see his wife and son. Odysseus is proven in many ways to be a hero including his cleverness, bravery, and loyalty.

Throughout the journey home, Odysseus showed some of his clever tricks to help him and his warriors survive as long as they could. When Odysseus and his men were traveling they stopped they stopped in the island of the Cyclopes and wanted to find out what the mainland
