Families of low income are at a disadvantage when it comes to receiving a college education. Candidate Hillary Clinton has recognized this drawback and proposed a policy that provides free public college tuition for those with incomes of $125,000 or below. I support this policy because I believe that everybody should have access to an affordable education, and as a college student, I find that this plan would allow me to expand my knowledge and prosper as a young adult. Among the policies that have been introduced by Presidential Candidates, I believe that this policy would be most beneficial for myself and my city because many members of my community are held back from receiving an education because of their low income.
Candidate Hillary Clinton and her proposal for free public college would most benefit me because I am a student who would like to avoid debt and threatening my parents’ finances. This department was developed 1980 and its mission is “to promote student achievement and preparation for global competitiveness by encouraging educational excellence and equal access.” The Department of Education’s employees are “devoted to establishing policies on federal financial aid for education and distributing, as well as monitoring those funds.” Although it will be challenging, Hillary is deeply committed to this plan and can transform this proposal into law through the power of this department. The head of the department can overlook the idea of free college tuition and approve of the idea if they feel that it can be accomplished.
