There are many different types of dangerous chemicals and fumes within a hospital that can affect the health and well being of an Adult nurse. Chemicals can range from many different things within the hospital from disinfects for hygiene, from chemical gases, laboratory chemicals and pharmaceutical chemicals to many more.
Chemicals are very dangerous and some more dangerous than others. If they aren’t used properly they can cause many effects to a person. First of all it tends to cause skin irritancy and this happens if you are using for example a hand sanitizer. It also can cause many effects on the respiratory system which leaves you irritated afterwards. It is very important that chemicals do not go near the eyes and if so medical treatment may need to be put in place. Also for women for example: a nurse working in the hospital environment chemicals can affect her reproductive system which is a very serious occurrence.
