How Did Amelia Earhart Disappeared

Amelia Earhart was the first woman to ever fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, and she mysteriously disappeared on her second attempt. On her second attempt, she tried flying across the Pacific Ocean following the equator, but she never returned. This event was recorded to be the largest sea search in History. After examining and researching Amelia Earhart's radio messages, The International Group for Historic Airplane Recovery (TIGHAR) led a search on Nikumaroro Island and continues to research these discoveries.
Before Amelia disappeared, there were many radio messages from her plane. One message said that her plane was running low on fuel and she was looking to land somewhere, but couldn't get in contact with any other stations nearby. It was hard to understand Amelia's messages because her voice was breaking in and out, but they still tried to get in contact with her. Her final message was at 8:43am, and many think that shortly after this message was when her plane went down. Amelia’s last message said coordinates 157 - 337 (The Earhart Project. N.p., n.d. Web). The evidence that they found on the Island was a black rubber shoe heel that had the words, “Cat’s Paw Rubber Company, USA” stamped into it (NPR. NPR, n.d. Web). Another thing they found that suggests Amelia was on the Island was, small pieces of a beauty case that contained American skin care products from the 1930’s.They also found many artifacts that Amelia Earhart was known for carrying. Some things they found was: bits of makeup, aspirin, traces of campfire, a shoe, 3 pieces of a pocket knife, cut open shells, glass and bones that may be from a human (N.p., n.d.
