Smallpox, deaths all around him, gambling, and War all long before Andrew Jackson was even president. Besides his childhood and early on being an adult Andrew Jackson went through a lot and nothing easier than another, but none of this changed him from being a great man and an even better president. While being president many things happened to Jackson most family wise, government wise, and physically/socially.

Family wise, Andrew Jackson lost his wife Rachel after she had a heart attack due to many different rude comments that were being said about her and age. One of the main comments was Rachel Jackson was called a whore numerous times by numerous people. The lose of his wife impacted many of Andrew’s decisions. Rachel would help Andrew Jackson in any way she could and without her there he was lost and without any help from someone he loved.
