During the 19th century, the world was much at peace after the growth and expansion of empires and colonization throughout the previous generations. Britain had accumulated the vast control of land throughout the entire world. This time of peace after the Napoleonic Wars was referred to as Pax Brittanica and lasted until the start of World War 1. It was a century of mostly peace throughout the world where no major conflict arouse and Britain continued to expand its economic and political presence throughout the world. It would do this through its previous colonization settlement in the world, its vast navy and technology, and its control over trade and goods.

They had gained lands and influence on every continent in the world, establishing its power. Britain could then use natural resources from areas under their control to increase advances in technology and use indigenous people in areas of its control as slave labor in mines, farms, and forests. However, it was actually a time of Britain imperialism around the globe. Britain had used their past colonization of regions in the world as a network of political and trade. They used their expansive and vast navy as a deterrent to any and all who opposed them. Britain utilized the industrial revolution and made advances to its military and transportation of goods and services through iron. Lastly, Britain influenced trade in the world by regulation of goods and services that it saw fit to its potential enemies and allies. in doing all of this, Britain attained one of the largest empires that were ever
