In life people can change because of factors like their situation their beliefs. These were both true for Guy Montag in the novel Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. Montag changed from a conformist that just did everything he was told to a free thinker that formed his own beliefs. In part 1 of Fahrenheit 451, Guy Montag was an in denial, curious, and insensitive person. He did what he was told but knew something was off. When he met Clarisse she opened his eyes to the truth of the dystopia they lived in.
