Henry Ford lived from July 30th, 1863 to April 7th, 1947. He is the founder of the Ford Motor Company and is the sponsor of mass production by the assembly line. Ford didn’t invent the assembly line or the automobile but he greatly helped improve both of the inventions. Ford made the automobile a very affordable automobile so that the average working American could afford it.

Henry Ford invented the Model T automobile which is also known as the "Tin Lizzie" or "flivver". This affected how people lived because before the Model T was invented automobiles were very expensive and only for the rich but this model was affordable. This helped because it made going places faster. The common man greatly benefited because they could afford a automobile. Other automobile salesmen suffered because people wanted a cheaper car. The Model T was a very important invention because it made things very accessible to the average American. The Model T reached a top spead of 40-45 miles per hour. This automobile also started by a hand crank until the 1920's when some automobile came with battery powered starters.
