This person is Thomas Jefferson. During Jefferson’s early years included being born at a Shadwell plantation on April 13, 1743. At age three he went on a fifty mile horseback ride with his father’s slave into the Virginia wilderness. The journey was undertaken with his family as they moved to a plantation, which his father was going to manage. Jefferson spent the next six years roaming the wilderness and going to school. At age nine he began his studies. He was boarded with a minister-teacher nine months out of the year. Which he continued until the age of sixteen. He excelled in many classical languages.in 1760 he enrolled at the college of William and Mary taking classes in multiple subjects.Thomas showed spirit when he signed the declaration of independence . Results of signing the declaration of independence include; paving the way and creating equality among all men and women. Thomas’s greatest triumph was when he made the louisiana purchase in 1803. He made a difference when he made the louisiana purchase. When he made the purchase it doubled the size of our country and It helped to secure the port of New Orleans and the use of the Mississippi river for us. What it means to be a revolutionary person is the person had a large impact on society or an aspect of a human endeavor.
