The word revolutionary is meant to cause a complete or dramatic change. Some individuals believe the Revolutionary War was a significant and beneficial war, while others believe otherwise. The war lasted from 1775 through 1783. This war became an armed war between the 13 colonies in North American and Great Britain. While the war began in 1775, there were many factors and causes that led up to the starting of the war. This war not only helped lead to the formation of the Unites States of America, it helped create major documents, and it also changed the lives of many people. The Revolutionary War demonstrated many principles found in the Enlightenment. The Revolutionary War began on April 19th, 1775 and came to an end on September 3rd, 1783. Before the war there were many tensions and conflicts between the residents of the 13 North American Great Britain colonies and the colonial government. These tensions and conflicts were quickly approaching a breaking point. Once that breaking point began, everything flew loose. The Revolutionary War began.
