On 08/17/17 at approximately 0907 hours, I, Officer Artaz along with Detective
Sergeant Gay interviewed David Smith at the Delta County Sheriff Office interview room. Detective Sergeant Gay advised David of his Miranda rights, which he waived and spoke to us. David advised he came to Delta to meet a friend, "George". Sergeant Detective Gay asked David for George's last name, but he would give it and said, "Its not important." David then stated, "Me and my friend Jasmine, came from Grand Junction." David advised while they were sitting in the RV park a male (Christopher Tiffany), approached them and said,

In the purse I located a Samsung cell phone and a Social Security card belonging to Jasmine Grinstead (DOB 11/23/92). I found a white powdery substance, that later showed a presumptive positive for Cocaine. The cocaine was later weighed and showed a total package weight of 15.4 grams. Detective Sergeant Gay located a Colorado ID card belonging to Jasmine under the passenger seat.

Detective Sergeant Gay also located the registration, insurance cards and a Big
O Tire receipt. The car is registered to Paul Davenport with a Clifton Colorado address and the Big O Tire receipt had Paul's name on it as well. The insurance cards had Jasmine's name on them. Detective Sergeant Gay found Paul's phone number on the Big O Tire receipt and contacted him. Paul advised the vehicle belongs to his ex girlfriend and mother of his child, Jasmine.

Detective Sergeant Gay also located a LG cell phone on the driver's side floor.
No other items of evidence were found in the passenger compartment of the vehicle. We searched the trunk and upon opening it we found a jar and bag of Marijuana.
