I. On pages 70 and 71, In Cold Blood by Truman Capote paragraph one and two are extremely clairvoyant as it reveals knowledge about Perry’s true feelings, past and nature. Capote writes, “Perry said, ‘there must be something wrong with us’”. This shows the audience that Perry is becoming self-aware of what he committed. He understands that something must be wrong mentally or chemically, for them to commit such a heinous act upon the Clutter clan. Not only does this reveal that Perry is a sentiment person (unlike Dick), but it provides the reader with the blueprints of the overall story. It allows the audience to foreshadow and know that Perry will eventually begin to feel an overwhelming sense of remorse and he might turn himself and Dick in.
