In the memoir “Night” insanity was a major factor of the Holocaust which leads to total mass destruction. It affected numerous of innocent Jews till this day . Some were intrigued by the madness that was getting to their head like Ms.Shockter. Insanity tends to mess with your head making it hard to see whats real. Many people reach a level of insanity that makes them burst with madness. For example, in the memoir Ms.Shockter was on the cattle cars on their way to the concentration camps ,but all of the sudden she started screaming “I see fire!” . Consequently, the Jews in the cattle cars gagged her to make her quiet down and not make anyone feel uncomfortable. People started saying that she had lost her mind when she got separated
