Todays Army is more divers than ever with people of different backgrounds, race and religions. Interpersonal Tact is the ability to tell the truth in a way that considers other people's feelings and reactions. It allows you to give difficult feedback, communicate sensitive information, and say the right thing to preserve a relationship. Been tactful is very important to keep a professional relationship with your subordinates. Leaders can hurt their subordinates just with the way they talk to them. When speaking to someone I try to put myself in their shoes also apply the Golden Rule.
